MOO: Looking for Builders and Programmers.

Category: Accessible Games

Post 1 by NoahsMommy (guide dog girl) on Tuesday, 24-Mar-2009 18:25:01

Hi folks.
I've posted before.
I'm still looking for builders and programmers.
Several people have applied, and some were accepted, some were not. Despite this, if you applied before, please resend me your application, unless your currently active on the moo, as I changed emails, and lost the rest. Anyone that wishes may apply. The application is slightly different now, I hope that this makes it easier and less of a challenge for people. I really want some quality builders/programmers, and realize not everyone has time to fill out a 20 page application.
So, here's the information you need, followed by what I need from you.
The MOO is a multi-time-dementional MOO, meaning that parts take place in the past, parts in the present, and parts in the future, which also means its open to just about anything.
You will need to send your application to rolosgirl@gmail.com
The information I need in the email is as follows:
1. real name
2. e-mail address
3. MOO experience, not necessary, but it is nice.
After I get this information, if your accepted which chances are good that you will be, you will be invited onto the MOO for an interview with myself and at least one other administrator. At this time, you will be presented with the policies that our staff are expected to follow at all times. If we feel you would work out well, and you agree to the policy, you will be made a builder or programmer, depending on your experience level.
Good luck to all of you.
Jessica

Does an individual with no experience at either being a builder/programmer receive training in becoming a builder/programmer?

Thankss.

You may either respond on the board, or respond via e-mail at: cjmc404@gmail.com

Yes, I'll provide training, as well as refer you to a few manuals/tutorials, but I'm always available to help and teach.

Post 5 by NoahsMommy (guide dog girl) on Wednesday, 25-Mar-2009 1:01:51

I have no idea what your talking about, also I don't want to discuss personal matters here.

Post 6 by coryJ (Veteran Zoner) on Wednesday, 25-Mar-2009 1:04:28

I will discuss it in PQN's, if you'll update your ignmore settings. I don't want to discuss them here, either.

Post 7 by coryJ (Veteran Zoner) on Wednesday, 25-Mar-2009 1:08:27

How do you plan to "help/teach"?

Post 8 by NoahsMommy (guide dog girl) on Wednesday, 25-Mar-2009 2:39:51

Well, I'd assume, that you would ask questions, and I'd answer them. *gestures vaguely*

Post 9 by coryJ (Veteran Zoner) on Wednesday, 25-Mar-2009 5:43:15

Duh! I meant, will you teach on skype, via MSN, or what. Sorry that I didn't make myself clear.

Post 10 by NoahsMommy (guide dog girl) on Wednesday, 25-Mar-2009 9:09:15

Well, all of my current builders, programmers, and wizards have me either on skype or msn yep, my primary method will be through the moo its self though.

Post 11 by coryJ (Veteran Zoner) on Wednesday, 25-Mar-2009 17:45:01

So, will you put back on skype and MSN?

Post 12 by blindndangerous (the blind and dangerous one) on Wednesday, 25-Mar-2009 17:46:39

Will you allow builders who you previously banned to get another chance?

Post 13 by NoahsMommy (guide dog girl) on Thursday, 26-Mar-2009 0:26:16

I will yes allow banned another chance, sorry about that. Cory, simply put, no. You know why, its not going on this board, nor do I wish to discuss it. If you want to be a builder or programmer, send me your info, and we'll talk. I'm willing to teach, help, etc. No experience is necessary, just a want to learn, and work.

Post 14 by coryJ (Veteran Zoner) on Thursday, 26-Mar-2009 0:28:41

God's put it on my heart to talk to you. As a clarification, I need toprovide: My name and reason for wanting to build/program?

Post 15 by NoahsMommy (guide dog girl) on Thursday, 26-Mar-2009 0:37:48

No, if you read the top post, it says:
1. real name.
2. email.
3. experience, its not necessary, but its nice.

Post 17 by ddenne92 (Veteran Zoner) on Thursday, 26-Mar-2009 10:32:51

Ok. i know the job of a programer what is the building. is that coming up with ideas? I have no experience but if i like the sound of building i might consider this as a hobby to pickup and something to learn.

Post 18 by blindndangerous (the blind and dangerous one) on Thursday, 26-Mar-2009 12:55:45

A builder is some one who creates new rooms for the muds. I can not remember if you can create objects as well. Jess, its ok, but next time check your facts before you bann someone.

Post 19 by NoahsMommy (guide dog girl) on Thursday, 26-Mar-2009 18:49:50

A builder can create objects, but they can't write verbs on them to make them do things. All of you resend me your info if you were here before, and the rest go ahead, and we'll get going, I already have several builders, a couple programmers, and a couple wizards, so come join the family.

Post 20 by coryJ (Veteran Zoner) on Monday, 30-Mar-2009 21:07:01

I need to be able to learn, somehow, how I'm suppose to affectively help you. I promise with all of my heart to only discuss the moo while on MSN.

Post 21 by blindndangerous (the blind and dangerous one) on Tuesday, 31-Mar-2009 19:44:03

Why don't you search on google for uncle tak's guide to moo programming? That should get you started.

Post 22 by NoahsMommy (guide dog girl) on Thursday, 02-Apr-2009 3:05:15

Cory, you are not going to be a programmer, builder, or anything else on my moo, end of story, the rest of you send me your info, I've excepted everyone else. thanks. Jessica

Could you point those of us who are uninitiated to a manual or something?
I like to know what I'm getting into before I jump.
Frankly, I'm greatly turned off by all the banning talk, and he said she said crap. But, I like learning new things.

Bob
